Is your baby going bald?

Well, obviously many babies are born bald, but not my little guy! He's got a crazy head of dark hair! If your baby was born with lots of hair (or even some) are they starting to shed yet?

Caleb's six weeks on Monday and I was starting to think he wouldn't lose his hair, but I've noticed just where his hairline meets his forhead the hair is starting to thin out a bit. I wonder if he'll lose it all?

His older brother lost his starting around 4 wks (i think...?) It was black but came back in blonde. He lost the top hair first, the the sides then the back so he had a *very* charming, very dark-hair mullet for the longest time! If Caleb loses his in the same pattern as ds1 he'll have a big 'ol rat-tail! That was the *thing* when I was in elementary school!

plus a photo of ds1 as a baldie!

That's funny! So far no hair loss here at 4+ weeks. My kids didn't lose much hair except a few where they lay in bed or in their seats and would rub their heads looking around and cooing at us.

LOVE THOSE PICS! Hatching an evil plot made me laugh!

Yes, we're firmly in the Friar Tuck style of hair here as the hair on the top has gone (in little tiny clumps) but there's still some above the ears. It's starting to inch it's way back and soon it will be all gone I'm sure.

Same thing happened with DD.

With DD, it was dark brown to begin with but came back light.

Dylan developed the Friar Tuck at about 5-7 weeks, lost his dark hair and grew back some blonde.

I'm trying not to get too attached to Conrad's fuzzy pate because I know it might be temporary. Sniff!

OMG, Erica!! Great pic!! I love his hair.

The funny thing is I always thought it would be weird to have a baby with a really hairy head b/c well...they don't look quite so baby-ish. Having hair makes them look older & wiser. But truly, I am loving Caleb's hair. It is so darn soft I can't stop myself from rubbing it all the time (which is probably why it's going to fall out!)

Funny you should mention it. I just picked Piper up from her afternoon nap and noticed that only on one side of her head, her hair has thinned considerably, in fact she's nearly bald on just one side. So odd.

Both my girls starting losing the hair on the top of their heads the day after Thanksgiving. They both looked like Benjamin Franklin or something. They were completely bald on top! It's mostly grown back now, and is lighter.
