Floating particles in urine? (sorry if TMI)

I've been POAS (actually in a cup) every few days since the first BFP. I have a bunch of internet cheapies that I might as well use up, and I secretly like to see the line getting darker and darker each time. DH thinks I'm a freak. Oh well.

Anyway, I've noticed that there seem to be lots of little floating things suspended in my urine. Is this normal? Is it related to pregnancy, or does it always look like that? I'm not in the habit of scrutinizing my pee , so I honestly have no idea what it "normally" looks like. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not worried or anything, just curious.

I POAS'd too for (undisclosed length of time), and I noticed that as well. Before using OPKs and HPTs I've never examined my pee in a cup, so I guess it's normal!

It's called sediment and it's normal. I am in school to become a medical assistant and I just finished Urinalysis and Microbiology and usually what is in your urine is white blood cells. That is what the sediment is. It's definitely normal so don't worry.

Yeah I think particles are okay -it's if it is cloudy or has blood that would send alarm bells. could be from the cup you're using too?

I noticed that too, when I was dipping sticks rather than using midstreams. I wondered if it had to do with prenatal vitamins? Who knows

Thanks for the explanation! I had been googling around a bit and kept coming across pages about kidney stones, infections, and other unpleasant stuff. The internet can really make you paranoid! It's good to know that it's normal and nothing to worry about. Thanks again!
