I am reading Gone With the Wind.

and as a well bred woman of loose virtue myself, I identified with Ms. Hamilton. That is until I began to refamiliarize myself with the character after a fifteen year absence of familiarity.

Anyway she certainly is not an attached mother. I find it to be downright scandalous. I like the name Wade though.

She is not a great mom. And not an AP poster child. But, a lot of that had to do with society's views of kids too. Seen not heard that whole thing. There is a reason that Scarlett is closer to Mammy than her mother.

But aside from that - still a pretty amazing person. I identified with her too...not sure what that means these days though.....:

I also like the name Wade. Of course I like Melly's baby's name too - Beau.
