Swelling/edema after birth?

So I had my C/S Tuesday - minimal edema. Went home Thursday - no edema.

Been on my feet a lot more than I probably "should" be, and have been sleeping in a recliner, so my feet are almost always the lowest point on my body. Right leg/foot is wors than the left, no pain to make me think it's a clot. But today, the swelling extends to my knee on my right side ... anyone else experiencing anything similar?

I had horrible swelling after my first. I was swollen up to my mid-thigh. I didn't have a c/s but I did have an epidural and they pushed a bunch of fluids on me fast because my B/P dropped a lot. Anyway mine took a couple of days to show up and about a week to go away and I hated it. I wondered if it bugged me more because I had no swelling during the pregnancy to speak of, or if I was just being a baby!!

i had that after one of my births, cant remember which now.

i think it has to do with the body being so used carrying so much extra fluid throughout the pregnancy, and then all of a sudden its gone when baby comes. So maybe the body holds on to some extra fluid for a few days until it adjusts?

Hope it goes away quick for you!
