So I just saw that November is already getting closed down. We are next. Does anyone want to move to a new forum, like freeforums.org or something? Or just to Life With a Babe? I only thought of a different forum because thats what November is doing and it seems like a good idea.

I hope we don't get moved before I even give birth.

I don't like email message groups. They are too hard to follow. I really like this kind of message board style.

I wish MDC had "born in" groups.

same here - long threads are confusing for me, and its really hard to keep ujp with each other that way.

I like the yahoo group idea. Digest version or group page on the web = threaded conversation. We could also set up a message board that emails a daily digest of posts so you don't have to remember to check. Starting a thread on MDC can be confusing because it's every topic in ONE thread. Can't really follow conversation shifts that way.


Just a reminder tho: ITS ONLY THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop pushing us out when half of us haven't pushed our babies out! :

I'm up for anything, too! Just as long as I don't lose sight of you ladies! This is the first time I've been part of a DDC, and I just wish I'd discovered the awesomeness that is us before now!

I think we definitely need a thread either in LWAB or in the Tribal area, at least for announcements, etc., but I think an outside forum we can create multi-threads in would be awesome, too.

My only question, again (she says in a high-pitched whiney voice), is: "What will become of the Stinky Thread??" Seriously--someone please at least reassure me that it won't simply disappear into the ether! Will it at least be archived somewhere? The world will be a darker, drearier place without the Stink....

*I'm* not pushing us out. The November DDC is already getting closed down. They are sort of scrambling to figure out where they are going to go, I don't want that to happen to us.

We already have a yahoo group, it was being used for the bead swap, but I'm sure we can all continue to use it.

It looks like they are moving all the threads from the other DDCs into the "appropriate" section (a sling thread into Babywearing, etc). I have no idea where The Stinky TMI thread will be considered "appropriate" :

They are just moving new threads to the appropriate places. I think our pg posts get archived in the DDC, it's just that there will be no new posting once they do that. The stinky thread will still be there. (I can still read the old posts in my nov 2005 ddc)

That's my understanding anyway.
