Why we post here in Nov 07 DDC....

For the last 9 months we have been here supporting one another, sharing the most TMI and gross, and most personal information about our lives. Things only others here would understand. Each having our own situations and hardships and joys, but ONLY wanting to share them here, or else would we not post in other places in the first place?

Moving shall be hard.

I thank all of you for putting up with my often whinny but when I posted about my husbands hard year in Iraq, it is wonderful to have him home now. I will still be whinny, clearly. LOL

Hormones and new babies and sleepless nights I am sure are not helping any of us. Together though, we can get through this too.

I hope here because I trust the other moms here to understand, listen, and care. Just as I do them. At this point, it can not be helped, I get up feeling like I must check on the other mamas here.

Much Love,
Kimmy

I don't know how I would have made it through this pregnancy without all of you. What a journey this has been.

I'm sad that we won't be able to check in with one another and "talk postpartum" in the ways that the other previous DDC's have. I know we are headed to another space, and I'm so grateful for that...but, it's different.

Anyway, this is supposed to be positive...

You have all become such an important part of my life. I'm honored to know each of you, even if it is only in cyberspace, and to have been trusted and welcomed to openly and intimately share such a miraculous time in all of our lives.

Thank you, dear sweet Mamas.

Love and Blessings,
Jessica

So I checked Kimmy's siggy and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Then I remembered what it used to say. It's so exciting to see the change! And to realize how well we all know each other. That's exactly why I'm completely addicted to the Nov DDC.

I also put it so I have to approve the registration for the same privacy reasons.

nak

Just registered for the new group.

This is so nerdy, but I actually get excited when DDC members show up in other MDC threads...I'm like, "Oh! It's ____! Yay!"

Me too

we live in a rural area, and don't know a lot of people

so to see you guys in another "place" is like going to walmart and running into someone from church -- a real feeling of connection

I am a very private person, so mostly lurk and only post when I feel really moved to do so... but this group has been a blessing durrning this pregnancy. Ya'll have kept me from feeling like I am insane. I never knew pregnancy would be so hard, and that my body would change SO MUCH. Its just not one of those things you understand until you go through it (as we all know). Each time I would say to DH 'the strangest thing happnened' or 'I'm having wierd dreams/ feelings/ worries' he would say 'go to the MDC DDC and see if anyone else is going through that'--and someone always was.

Thank you mamas for sharing your hopes, dreams, worries and challenges. See you on our new forum!

Awww, I you all!!

It's been so great being here. I have a DDC on a mainstream site and it's just not the same...

I know, I have a DDC on a mainstream site, too, and it blows compared to here. The women here are level-headed and down to earth compared to the other one, it's much MUCH more.....real here, not superficial in the slightest like the other one is.

I know I've posted with this DDC bc I felt like I belong...we got into a good groove early on with getting to know one another, and kept it going.

My dh has poked fun at my connection to this online group in the past. But, last night, when I told him that they were planning to shut us down, with no warning, he said "OMG. Why would they DO that?! That group is like your lifeline!"

I mentioned the shut-down to my DH, he simply said, and I can't agree more cuz I've said it myself, "That's bullcrap."
