Sara, I'm getting excited for you! It would be so cool if she was born on Christmas!

Maybe she is going to be my Christmas Present.
I've always maintained (barring emergent circumstances of course) that one of the most wonderful gifts we can give to our children is enabling them to choose their own birthdays

Thanks for the update, Sara! Hang in

I am so excited for you. I can only imagine the anticipation you have been feeling over the last month or so. I just wanted to stop by and say congratulations (if a bit early) on your birth. You are doing wonderfully. I can't wait for your birth story. Oh, and I like how your hospital runs. Mine would have freaked out at this point. Stupid them.....

I've been so busy doing last minute decluttering, etc. that I havn't been posting on here regularly. Just wanted to send lots of hugs your way You are doing great hanging in there. DD was born at 42 weeks 6 days-she was 8 pounds. Whether your baby is really almost 10 pounds could or could not be true. I've heard that they are off on predicting weight. No matter the weight, I'm sure everything will be great.

Robin Jones Gunn? Way OT... But isn't she the author of a series of books with a teenage character names Christy or something similar?

OP, I'd do exactly what you're doing... Wait and wait and wait... As long as you feel fine, babe is moving, and everything else you've already read here, personally I'd let babe be. to both of you!

Update?

As far as all the stories of late term babies bveing a ok, great wonderful. But, there are plenty of stories that did not turn out all wonderful and full of rainbows.
Posting a great story does not take away the facts that allowing a pregnancy to go far past term involves risks to the baby and the mother.

I'll add 14 more rainbow stories. My mom and my Aunt went three weeks over every time. Lots of healthy, homebirthed, post dates babies. And yeah, they had a lot of kids!
