Quick question How do you COUNT this? Is it per item? Because I took 3 boxes FULL of clothes (James old clothes) to Goodwill, it was probably 200+ things but I didn't count. Should I just call it 3? For the boxes? Also, I bagged up 15 of my own shirts/pants, do I count per item or just 3 for the bags? (plastic grocery sacks) And I threw away 3 old surge protectors, is that 1? Or 3? I threw out 3 boxes full of crap, is that per item or per box? Also 2 tote loads full of stuff...is that 2???

I'm overthinking this...lol

OK, I've been decluttering some more. Everything will go to the ARC, the MDC TP, recycling, Craigslist, and a couple beat up things were put in the trash. I was going to hold onto some stuff for a yard sale, but decided I wanted it OUT OF MY HOUSE now. I'm not holding onto anything.

I'm in! Our basement alone would probably give me 2008 items to get rid of, not to mention all the assorted crap my kids accumulate and treasure.

Oh, and to be free of all the PAPER! I've got two small file cabinents in the basement and another drawer in our computer desk FULL of the stuff, and I'll bet once I sort through it all we won't need to keep 3/4 of it all.

And then there's the books that I have read and don't love but somehow still hold onto, just in case I'll need it again. That's why we have the public library!!!

Mmmm, and my homeschooling/scrapbooking closet. Full to the brim, and practically unusable--I can't seem to find anything when I need it.

This is going to be great!

I'm definately in need of this challenge. Oh wait... DH is in need of this challenge. I can throw out anything and everything. He holds on to it all in case one day we happen to need that box for a bread knife that was purchased in 1972.

Ya know what i'm loving most about this- i really think about everything i touch. I ask myself "Do i really need to keep X item?" like last night i was looking for something in the linen closet and tossed 5 things that i touched and would've normally put back into the closet, but i looked at it and thought- who the heck am i kidding, i wont use this ever! (mostly 3/4 empty lotion and soap that i used and didnt like)

I havent done much yet but I gave away 40 diapers (cloth of course) and covers so about 60 items. i am probably the lowest one here oh well decluttering kitchen tomorrow so will have more next weekend to tell you all.
