what about if you just work on one (visible) room at a time (maybe starting with your bedroom, so you have a little refuge of clutter free bliss??)
I've started in on decluttering my kitchen counters- like putting away the condiments and such that tend to live on my counters (had to toss stuff out of the cupboards first), and so when I clean my kitchen it actually LOOKS clean and like I actually got something worthwhile done. I also decluttered a little bay window we have over the sink and only put pretty things there- plants and some little decorative items, it makes me smile not to see accumulated junk there! Still need to do more in there, but it's agood feeling to have something to show for your work!!!
Welcome to the new mamas! I really admire that you're jumping right in! I was wondering, with 68-ish? days left in the year, how many items that would be per day to make 2008, and it's only like 29-30! (no holidays off though, lol) And that's if you're starting at zero, so if you've already got some decluttering under your belt, you're way ahead! Go mamas!
thewaggonerfamily- how's it going with the bag a day??
anyway, my stats: last count 1619/2008
24- kitchen decluttering- old spices, random stuff out of drawers, magnet
3 stacks of paper clutter (how do you count your paper clutter, I'm not going to count each page!? although that would boost my count pretty quick!

)
