quick doll question

Okay, I have the Dancing Rain button baby kit. I am stuffing the extremities now. But how do I sew them closed...by hand or machine? Do I turn the raw ends in first (I assume I should)?

I'm sure this is the first of many clueless questions...

I'm sure you can write to Dancing Rain people for your questions. I always sew those parts by hand and turn the ends to the inside.
