skin issues? pregnancy and post partum

I have usually got decent skin with a breakout here and there, but during the pregnancy my skin got dry and bumpy on my upper arms, and I had dark skin that would just show up and need to be exfoliated off my arms, ankles, etc.

The moment my son was born my face got dry. I mean REALLY DRY. As in, you can see dry flakes on my face. It's spread over the past 4 weeks from spots by my nose to completely covering 90% of my face.

I have put Lansinoh on my face at night a couple of times which seems extreme but helped.. except that I got pimples. Not sure if that was from the Lansinoh. I just feel SO gross with these dry skin flakes all over.

My skin got wicked dry but I have chalked it up to too-hot showers and dry heat. I am reeeallly blotchy today for some reason... I am sure our hormones are all wonky right now. Hopefully everyone's skin is back to normal soon!

My skin is dry, dry, dry.... legs, arms, hands, and even my face, which is usually oily. My feet are in horrible shape. The only time I am without socks is in the shower, because otherwise I'm afraid I would attack them with our palm sander...

OMG, my feet are a mess. Bleh. My legs are pretty dry too. I had this weird rash on my sides and hips during the last month of this pregnancy, and that seems to be clearing up. So far, my face has been fine...thank goodness. I wonder if it's because I've been taking fish oil for the past few months? Hmm...

I have been having the dry bumpy face too. I have tried all kinds of lotions and washes and finally found something that works. Aveeno Exzema cream. It is kind of thick and is the only thing that helps.
Good luck ladies. It is a yucky feeling, sn't it?

Aveeno has some good products that work. I hesitate to look at the list of ingredients because I don't want to know...the stuff is just so nice.

Oh please -my skin is so susceptible to hormone changes. I had just started to stabilize after 8 months off birth control pills when I got pregnant, which lead to 9 more months of horrible acne. I actually knew I was pregnant before testing, because I broke out around implantation time, which never happened before.

Hopefully things will start to quiet down now. I miss how clear my skin was on the pill. I was a total bitch while taking it, but at least I was a pretty bitchy!
