Baby skin issues

Both my girls have baby acne, my older kids did too and I never did anything for it. It seems pretty severe for them, though. All over their faces, on their chest, back of the neck and even some on their heads! Can I do anything?

Lucy has really red, really dry cheeks. What can I do for her?

It frightens me b/c DS had horrible skin as a baby and we've been battling eczema since.

Mairaed has really dry patches on her cheeks and earlobes so I just moisturized them with a little aveeno baby lotion. It looks better but maybe because I just did it. Our issue is between her eyebrows is all pimpley. I feel so bad for her! I am leaving it alone- breast milk has not seemed to help, unfortunately. *sigh* Poor girl. I hope this is not a sign that she will have my skin instead of DH's (who has never had a pimple in his life!)

Poor Jamie has major skin issues. I thought he had bad infant acne, but the ped. said it's some kind of allergic rash. He said that it was probably due to a sensitivity to detergent or certain fabrics ( I was using a dye-and perfume detergent already...) At his recommendation, we used a tiny bit of hydrocortozone creme on his face, and it got much less red (but still bumpy). Since then I've been slathering him with some super-thick Eucerin on his face and Aveeno baby lotion on his body. All his clothes are double rinsed... His face is looking a little better (still bumpy, but not so red) but his scalp, and entire torso are spotty, spotty, spotty.

Arg. I'm wondering if it could be something in my breastmilk that he's sensitive to (?). He wasn't rashy until he was three weeks old. I've cut out milk and soy. I don't know what else to do for the poor guy!

my babies always got it whenever i didn't wipe the breastmilk off of their face soon enough.

but other than that experience, i've always heard there isn't much you can do.
