I swear I am having weird contraction-type feelings in my rear end. Like I had when I was in labor but not as severe. What is this? It is like a shooting pain that lasts about 3 seconds and happens randomly. ugh.

I'm sorry, I don't know what that is, but I can't help but laugh at the description

yeah- i thought it was a funny description, too. i wanted to answer "jumping worms" but that wouldn't feel very nice- ick! i hope you figure it out, i am sorry it sounds painful.

I bet it's just your body recovering from the experience of childbirth. There are a lot of muscles and connective tissue that went through a lot only a few weeks ago!

Hope it gets better soon, Kerri!

You know, that's kind of what I was thinking. I've been having weird throbbing pains in what feels like my labia and hip flexors, but only at night. I think it may be all the connective tissues retracting back to their pre-pregnancy state. Maybe.

I chalked it up to having the runs and raging roids, but I guess that what others have suggested about things contracting back make sense too.

I had something similar with ds #1 - mine was a shooting type that I had to move, and as quick as it came it was gone. MW said it could be from things repositioning, or it could be a hormonal reaction and could last a while - I think it lasted about 4-5 months or so.

Yeah, sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear, eh?

But, it did lessen over time (severity of the shooting)

Ummm...is it possible it's just some weird gas pain?
