what can we hear in the womb w/ a fetoscope?

I'm almost 22 weeks along, enjoying my $20 fetoscope, and I'd really like to learn more about what I am already hearing, and all that I can hear going on in my womb.

I hear the placenta, I hear baby's heartbeat, I hear my noisy bowels, I think I hear my femoral pulse...but there's other stuff going on in there, too.....what all is going on?

I tried to google this, and things like uterine souffle and umbilical souffle were mentioned.

Thanks for your wisdom!

So, I'm assuming you have an electronic device, like a doppler? When I say "fetascope," I generally mean something that's like a stethescope, but designed specifically for listening to the fetal heart. With those, I can usually hear baby heart and placenta, and I have trouble distinguishing between baby heart and cord... With a doppler, you can tell the difference between hearing cord (whooshing in rythym to baby's heartbeat), the actual heartbeat (which sounds a bit like clipity clopping horses, as you can hear all four chambers of the heart doing their thing), baby movement (which sounds like irregular blips). Uterine souffle just means the sound of your blood circulating through your uterus, and funic or umbilical souffle is the sound of the umbilical cord. And that's what I know. Hope that helps.

You can also hear hiccups. Well, you can't actually hear a hiccuping sound, but you can hear what sort of sounds like the heartbeat, but it is slower and without the clip-clop. It is definitely a steady, consistent rhythm unlike the variability of the heart beat.
