Yeah, the original battleship is battery-op too. you don't HAVE to use batteries, just call out the number/letter locations. That's what we always did, as kids.

You can still find some old non-battery-operated original battleship games at yard sales and such. Wish the dino game had a version without batteries! I can make my own roars, thankyouverymuch.
