Best way to wash strawberries?

My FIL always brings me a flat of non-organic strawberries from Florida. I tried to gently hint that I didn't want them, unless he could find some organic ones, but he brought them anyway. So, now my kids are looking at this entire flat of red, delicious berries. I can't very well tell them they can't have any.
What's the best way to get rid of the pesticide residue?

I'm interested in hearing too as I usually just rinse. Is that veggie wash stuff any good?

I use my giant salad spinner. Put a couple drops of produce wash in the big round part and fill with water. Dump berries in the strainer part then emmerse in water and swish a second, then rinse. I like using the spinner because it's a huge bowl and they are already in the strainer for easy rinsing

Washing them in a salad spinner - you're a genius!! Here I've been washing each individual berry by hand, or just rinsing the whole basket (which doesn't get them really clean).

To be honest, with strawberries, there's not a whole lot you can do. Since they essentially have no skin to protect the flesh, the flesh absorbs all of the nasties.

Yeah, I know, but I was hoping for something to make feel a little bit ok about eating them.
Well, hopefully the fabulously healthy bone broth I'm making will counteract the pesticide ridden berries. Maybe if I douse them in raw milk or cream they won't kill us!
