My Dad and brother can be hard to buy for. I had the idea of putting together a basket of healthy foods, but need some ideas. Neither of them eat very healthy. I'm looking for some "gateway" foods to get them started. 
So far I've thought of:
And now I'm stuck.
I'd throw in some recipes too it anyone has some good ones that tie in with ingredients. Both my Mom and SIL have new bread makers for Christmas too... If this turns into more of a family type gift, that's ok.

So far I've thought of:
- olive oil
- fresh garlic
- pesto
- raw almonds or other nuts
- maybe an assortment of dried beans/legumes in nice jars. (My brother does have a great chili recipe, might be good for him)
- interesting fruit? starfruit, figs, pomello type things
- honey?
