Step 2. Plugging away at Student loans. Will be done in less than 2 years, unless we move, cash out the equity in our house and get rid of all debt before we get a new mortgage.

We're on step two and are planning to be done by October 2008, if not sooner.

We are on BS2, will be paid November 2009. We put our retirement savings on hold while we do this.

Thanks! Checking it out. I'm so into Dave! He is in my ear every day from archived shows on his web site. I appreciate any support I can get.

Be well

I'm not a DR follower per se... I'm taking what I like/agree with from him and leaving the rest, esp. the religious stuff. : But anyway, we are saving the $1000 emergency fund, and after that if we continue to be debt free (which there's no reason we won't) we'll be skipping to saving 3-6MOs of living expenses. After that I don't know, b/c I don't remember the steps. But we're not going to buy a house, so no down payment savings for us.
