Anyone a beginer knitter that made this?

I "can" knit but, not well I don't want to spend the money for it and then find out I can't figure out the pattern, LOL

TIA!!

actually I have the pattern right here, though I have not attempted it, yet. I can barely knit, but it seems to be written very clearly. It has pictures and an appendix to explain some of the techniques and instructions in the pattern. It seems like a very good pattern, which one would expect when you do pay $10 for it

I got this pattern a couple weeks ago and have never knitted anything more than about 8 inches of a scarf (never finished that cause I hated knitting!). I had to restart a few times, but when I got past figuring out how to do the ribbing it was perfect. I can't believe I did it without any real experience. There are a few mistakes in the pattern so it can be a little confusing, but I just asked a few questions here and there when I couldn't figure it out on my own and everyone was very helpful. Good luck.

What mistakes did you find??? I'm working on one myself, as a brand new knitter. The only thing I've had trouble with is the end of the short row. I got a hole there every time. I figured it was just because I haven't figured it out yet... and it probably is. The blue side of the short row looks great. The pink side... not so good.

For the short rows, it's jsut the nature of how they are done, that one side gets a tiny hole, but once youw ash the soaker the yarn sort of *fills in* that hole and it's much less noticeable.

Thanks! I've been utilizing my mom to help me with questions - but really the instructions are so great that I haven't had many problems. My mom says I'm a natural. (blush) But as for the holes at the end of my wraps... I'm still working on how to do that second wrap and obviously need more practice. Which I'll be getting lots of since I am addicted to these cute soakers!

Ok, I'm a begginning knitter, so these might not be mistakes, but these are what I took for mistakes in the pattern and either changed or omitted:

For the round right after you finish the ribbing it says to *k2tog, yo* till one stitch remains - should say till two stitches remain.

Instead of placing the red and blue markers after the 20th and 60th stitches, I placed them on the 20th and 60th stitches.

For the back flap (when working in rows) I found that you need to repeat row 1 and 2 one more time (it says not to for the preemie size). If you don't repeat it one more time then you don't end up with 22 stitches in the end.

Then the second set of rows for the back flap are in reverse. Row 1 should be row 2 and row 2 should be row 1.

Then in the appendix when you are doing the kitchener stitch, I omitted the paragraph that starts with "set up" because it contradicts the following paragraph and the following paragraph is the one that made sense.

Hope that all made sense and that it was alright to post this here. It really is a great pattern though. If it weren't for all the details and pictures I never would have figured it out.
