Grrrr! Magic Cabin

Anybody else having problems with their magic cabin order??? Today I find out part of my order (xmas gifts) is backordered til feb! I only found out because I called to see when the rest of my order would be there. i don't even think I have enought time to order a dollhouse family to go with the rest of my dollhouse stuff before Xmas! :
Anybody know of a site with good quality dollhouse dolls that will ship QUICKLY????

A toy garden has some nice ones and usually ships same day but with Christmas only a few days away....

Hearthsong and magic cabin seem to have issues like this every single year. Search here on MDC and you'll see. I stopped ordering from them altogether. www.threesisterstoys.com shipped quickly but I did my shopping weeks ago.

Most local toy shops have wooden doll houses/people/accessories these days. Maybe call around?

I will never order from Magic Cabin/Hearthsong again. They goofed up my Christmas order last year. I ordered early & didn't find out about the delay until a few days before Christmas. By then it was too late to get what I wanted.

They tried to make it up to me with a $20 GC when it happened, and then early in Dec this year I got a "we miss you as a customer" letter w/a $10 GC. I'm still not shopping with them.

I've placed a grand total of one order with Magic Cabin before, and will never do so again-- not because of late shipping (although, yes, it took forever to get here) but because their product description online didn't match up with the product I actually received; and when I called customer service to ask what was up, the woman I spoke with was pure vinegar and p*ss to me. So no more MC for me-- I'm a Three Sisters fan now, too (and Oompa!).

So lesson learned, no more Magic Cabin for me!
On the bright side, I checked and Rosie Hippos had some cute bendy dolls for cheaper, of course, than Magic Cabin. And when I called, the very nice lady (big dif from MC) told me it was in stock and could be guaranteed delivery for Monday. Huge Relief!
Next year I'm sticking to smaller companies! Maybe Etsy even better!

No more for us, either. I put in my order on Nov. 6... and now just a stone's throw from Christmas, find out that we are not getting the toys. How disappointing, for parent, and for child. They've lost our business once and for all. 5 years in a row now I've had this happen to us.

That really sucks. I remember that there was a big thread last year about Magic Cabin (and Hearth Song, maybe?) having shipping problems and not notifying customers that they wouldn't be getting things in time for Christmas. A lot of people got left high and dry with no time to make up the loss.

That's why I love Amazon : I order when they have toy themselves, not their affiliate vendors, to get free shipping for over $25. I like that I can track my packages and I get emails when they ship.

Don't get me wrong, I also love to buy directly from crafters on Etsy.com I like knowing the person it came from and the state/country.

Ya gotta love coincidence. Just as I was reading this thread, in pulls the ups man with my MAGIC CABIN ORDER!! I placed it 2 full weeks ago today. I had to call monday and tuesday this week or I'm sure I wouldn't have it yet. They are so disorganized! How can they not take steps to correct something like this? Man, I feel so lucky! ( I got the plan city garage and road for all three kids. I cant wait to play with it! ):

I didn't even consider them this year, after reading about the fiasco last year.

I have heard wonderful things about Three Sisters Toys and can also tell you the customer service as Heirloom Wooden Toys is ABOVE AND BEYOND wonderful

I had fine luck with Magic Cabin last year (I ordered pretty early.) This year, though, I bought some lyra crayons for DD's birthday on the 15th and they were all broken. I called them the next day and they are sending out some new ones. (It's been a few days already, though. . . )

I got a Plan dollhouse from playcottage.com and they were SO nice! And cheaper than MC/HS. I will definately order from them again.

Like a PP, I love Ooompa, too. Santa did most of her shopping this year with them and nova natural and did fine.

If Oompa has what you need, maybe they'll overnight it? Then you can cancel what you have coming from Magic Cabin.

I ended up canceling from Magic Cabin and ordering from Rosie Hippoe's- They were very nice. Had ordered other stuff in early December from Magic Cabin that already arrived. I also didn't like that I could see all of my order on the website. It just said "processing."
I looked at A Toy Garden and they had beautiful stuff, too! Maybe I'll use them next time!
