Same here. It's funny because I was talking to another mama and she said that her Christmas presents last year were late too.

I know! When I called and found out I wouldn't be getting my gifts, they did not care. In fact, the lady sounded irritated with me! No offer to help in any way except cancelling the order.
I actually figured they'd have their act together this year. oh, well. The lady at Rosie Hippo's said Magic Cabin is owned by Hallmark, now. I so did not know that!

Actually, Magic Cabin and Hearthsong are owned by 1-800 Flowers (not Hallmark). If you look at the very bottom of the page on the Magic Cabin website, you'll see that they have the brand affiliating in very light-colored lettering.

And here on the 1-800 Flowers website, you'll see that both Magic Cabin and Hearthsong (amongst other companies) are owned by 1-800 Flowers.

I love the catalogue from Magic Cabin, but I have never ordered from them or from Hearthsong because of the threads here on MDC. I hope they can work out their problems.

A couple years ago I had placed a huge order for X-Mas, it was the large dollhouse with all the furniture and dolls. Someone stole it. : It was delivered to the wrong house, by the time we realized what what happened it was just days before X-Mas. MC overnighted us another one free of charge, when they did not have to. UPS had screwed up, but was denying they had.

Last year I ordered all my X-Mas stuff in Sep, but never went through it until right before X-Mas, most of my stuff was the wrong items, things I really wanted were missing, wrong colors, it was a nightmare. This year I ordered most of my stuff though A Toy Garden or Three Sisters, but ended up placing two small orders through MC, and got everything promptly and it actually was correct. : Next year I'm going to try and avoid them completely though.

( I got the plan city garage and road for all three kids. I cant wait to play with it! ):
I ordered the tiger hat for my dd's Halloween costume and when it got close to Halloween, I just kept calling and calling. It got here in the nick of time.

Yeah, they just let us know yesterday that our order was "misplaced either by UPS or not yet completely filled." I basically went completely out of my mind--and asked what Hearthsong planned to do to fix this. They said "20% off and a refund of all shipping charges." I had already used a 20% off coupon, so I guess I got an additional 20% off.

It might be here tomorrow they said. If it's not the guy said, and I quote, "If it's not there on Christmas Eve, then you are welcome to call up and get hysterical again." I cracked up.

s mama...this happened to me last year. Magic Cabin can really suck!

Well, it's 6:15pm on Christmas eve here, and I'm guessing that the order isn't coming.

Oh well, Christmas isn't something that comes in a box.

I didn't know about the problems with Magic Cabin and Hearthsong. After I ordered from them this year I realized they were pretty much the same company (and noticed their other affiliations listed on the bottom of their website). I wasn't pleased with the notification and service but I was lucky enough to get my stuff in time. Phew! The items came in dribs and drabs and when I checked on line, I got that "order is being processed" message. Worthless of course. I had no idea when stuff was going to come because they never sent shipment notifications via email. I did fill out a customer survey and I stated that they need to improve their customer service. I checked everything and they did get the order right.

I appreciate this thread and all the good alternatives to MC and HS. I will using other sites next year. Guess I was one of the lucky ones!

I didn't order from them this year because I remember last years posts. I'm glad I didn't, but I'm sorry for those who've gotten screwed over.
