I'd like to make a waldorf or waldorf like doll. Any ideas....for kits, tec. I have never done this before.
Do I need a sewing machine.
Any links would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I got a kit from dancingraindolls.com and really like it. The directions include full color step by step photos which really helps. I used a sewing machine, but if you dont have one I think it would be fine to hand stitch the body. You could also buy a "pre-sewn" body from the site for an extra $5 I think, so if you dont want to hand sew it that is another option. There really is not much to sew, as long as you can do very small stitches like a machine it will be fine.

I was going to ask a similar question. I also would like to make a Waldorf style doll for my dd but don't want to pay extra to buy the kit. Any suggestions for making a doll from scratch (what to buy for a body, filling and such)? I'm not a great sewer, never made a doll before but willing to learn. Also how do you attach head and arms, legs to the body of a doll?
TIA
