I am SO over nesting today

I have been nesting, and I still have an urge to do strange chores like ironing the curtains

But I am just too exausted today.

My nutrition is ok, but I just must be feelin the 41 weeks pregnant body.

I do need to iron the curtains though, because I feel very naked in a house where everyone can see in. I was scared to sleep last night! I actually wished we had a dog to bark. (And I do NOT like dogs very much....at least with 3 babies around the house. TOO much WORK.)
I am just pretty much done with WORKING I think.

It is kind of exciting because I waited 3 pregnancys for this.

I always WANTED to nest but the urge was never there so my house remained FILTHY all the time.


***Does anyone know why we only "nest" around pregnancy? Isnt it the inclination of wild animals to keep a nest ALL the time? (And clean up, feed their babies, etc...) Or do animals only "nest" around pregnancy too?

Dogs and cats fix their "nest" when labor is impending, or already started. They usually pick a place a few days before and once labor is imminent, they start digging at it, rearranging it, pacing, going to it, leaving it, going back, etc.

I've felt like that for *weeks*!

So nesting is actually preparing the place of birth then?

That would make sense-this will be my first homebirth.

The other times I was always planning on traveling to the birth center or hosptial or whatever.

I love nesting.
