My DD's homemade wooden play kitchen!!

I'm just so proud of it. So I had to share...

Here's the only decent pic I have of it...There are 2 shelves underneath, the bottom has 3 storage baskets (that match the colors), and there are hooks and lights on the top. It's still somewhat unfinished- the burners are only temporary (DH is going to cut some wood ones that will be raised off of the countertop) and DH's also going to cut out a faucet and knobs for the sink.

Total cost for everything (and DH only used half of the wood)...about $25!!!!

Oh, that is wonderful! So much more friendly than the one I purchased for...I won't even tell you how much. I'm sure she will have lots of fun with it!

I love it! We're doing wood cutouts for the stove as well. I tried drawing them on, and it was a mess! lol.

Fantastic! You should be proud.

That is wonderful! I like how you used fabric underneath. I'd love to see another pic with the fabric pulled to the side to see the shelves and storage.

Great job!

Super cute! Your DD is a lucky girl... May I ask what your DH used to cut out the circular hole to fit the sink?

Thanks everyone! No, DH didn't have a pattern...other than one in mind. He's really good with woodworking. Underneath it's just one big open space with a shelf about 6 inches underneath the countertop (so we can modify the design later if we want). The lights are just batter operated, and the countertop is covered with those sticky floor "tiles" so water and liquids don't hurt the wood over time.

Oh wow - that's amazing. And what a little cutie there in the pic playing with it.

Tell your DH great work.
