hook and loop/Aplix question...

I bought some Aplix about 2.5 years ago. It looks just like what Happy Heinys and any other hook and loop diaper I have bought looks like. Bright white, and the loop is very uniform.... similar to velcro. It also feels/works the same on my diapers as those other diapers.

I needed more, so bought some from Diapercuts, and what I got looks much different. It is off white, and the loop is not as uniform, and it's looser. It also feels like it doesn't hold as well as my old stuff.

I had thought I bought the Aplix from the same site the first time (but maybe not). I emailed them, and they said that it was the right stuff, and their supplier is the same. Is this right?

Either way, where can I get more of the good white stuff I had before?

Anyone know?

Thanks!
Laura

Did you buy touch tape the first time? I know it's a lot stronger than aplix is. I usually get my touch tape from www.verybaby.com.

Yeah, sounds like the first might have been touch tape. I have found touch tape to be much stiffer than aplix, but not much stronger...thats why I prefer aplix. I too have bought both from verybaby.com

I have Aplix & Touch Tape - both are white. Touch Tape does give a firmer hold and is a bit stiffer.
