Yes, my hunch was correct. I googled a bit and turned up a photo on
this blog that shows at least two of the same people wearing the same clothing at the May 10, 2007 Breastfeeding Promotion Act rally in Washington that appear in portions of the footage in the CBS News video clip linked in the OP.
Click on the 2nd photo from the top to enlarge. If you look closely you can see a baby wearing a lime-green-flowery-huge sunhat. That baby is in the news clip footage. I'm also 99% sure that the woman in a bright yellow shirt w/ dark green wrap is in both the blog photo of the rally and the news clip footage. I'm also sure the low wall in both is the same.
Plus, I recognized another momma in the clip; she posted photos from the rally on another board I visit. I won't link b/c it requires registration.
I'm not sure if I'm pleased that this very public example of baby-wearing and breastfeeding mommas in a large group made it into a mainstream news segment, or if I'm annoyed that CBS used the footage carefully cleansed of any of the very political content of its original context (a rally attended by Rep. Maloney calling for the passage of the Breastfeeding Promotion Act, which still languishes in committee.)
I am very clear that I am annoyed at CBS's almost exclusively use of images of WHITE babies on a story about the U.S.'s recent baby boom.
