Okay, so it's day 11 for me, and I hardly bled yesterday and not at all today. Can I assume I'm done? Or might it come back? My period used to resurrect itself after a day or two of no bleeding. But I'm back on cloth now. Yay laundry.
My MW warned me that I might think I'm done and then the bleeding can return. Rinse. Repeat.

I'm on day 12 (yikes!) and still bleeding pretty steadily, perhaps easing up a bit. I was hoping since I have really light periods that my PP bleeding would be light as well, but I guess it's a trade off.

With dd #1 I bled till 8 weeks. I thought it was because I was so stressed out, and did wayyyy too much after she was born. But here I am sitting at 4 weeks and I'm still bleeding. Really just a dribble, but enough that I have to where a pad at all times. I guess that is just what my body does.

Hi!
Not from your ddc, but joined by accident on Dec. 18
I have a strange question, what does your lochia look like? This is my second child, but I don't remember my lochia looking like this. Its very mucousy. Almost like my bloody show? I actually had a piece of placenta pass yesterday, which of course, freaked me out. Does this mean I still have more in there? Or am I freaking out for nothing?

Welcome first of all!!! We are a good bunch here My lochia this time was very mucousy to begin with this time around as well. But I think if I passed a piece of placenta I would be freaking out. My mom starting hemorraghing really bad when she had me because there was still placenta left in her. Definetly keep a watch on your lochia! And if it gets heavier or has really big clots in it I would perhaps get it checked out.

I know nothing about passing placenta... but right now I am also having lots of mucous. I didn't have any bloody show that I noticed, but definitely having mucousy blood now 12 days pp.

Hi by the way & congrats on your December arrival!

Quite mucousy sometimes here as well, very similar to bloody show.

My MW warned me I might pass some large-ish bits round about day three, so that sounds on track for you. I would get it checked out if it continues much past that. I never did pass anything big but up until the last day or so was still passing itsy bitsy clots from time to time.

Thanks for your insight, it actually put my mind at ease. After I passed the bit of placenta, my lochia really slowed down. I had on little gush, but other than that, pretty much nothing. I have no pain, cramping, excessive bleeding, I guess its all out and all good.

I bled for 7 weeks with my first baby. We'll see how long i do this time, once i have baby #2. my period's are always 7-8 days long so maybe that has something to do with the looong PP bleeding. ugh
