Project Mighty-Mama

I have chosen to start a project that is in memory of Jessica, but the gift is intended for Noah and Gavin. What I am asking for is TWO 10" square pieces of cotton fabric. It can be a personalized design, a plain piece of fabric, you can write a message to the boys, you can say a prayer as your packaging it up. I will then make two quilts, one for each of the kids and I will send it to them. This way they will know how special their mom was, how many people cared about her, and hopefully they will be comforted while they cuddle up in the blanket being embrased by the love we all felt for Jessica.

Also, if you want to include an index card with a wish or wishes to the family, that would be more ways to personalize it.

What a lovely idea. Did you xpost this in TAO? When do you plan on sending the finished project out?

Might you consider collecting more than two squares; and make one for her sister's children as well? They were both such wonderful ladies and awesome members of our community.

Yes, FullOfGrace stickied the post in TAO! I have set a deadline for January 12th for people to send the squares to me an I hope to ship it out, completely done by the end of January at the latest. Fingers crossed!
