Stainless Steel Muffin Pans?

All they have at most stores is non stick. What do I buy and where do I buy from if I want to avoid it? I am dying for some Muffins but I have no pan because I got rid of all my non stick and now I cannot find anything that has nonstick in the stores. UGH!

Okay, this may be a dumb question. But if you use liners, is the nonstick so bad?

I haven't seen aluminum anywhere, but I have seen some silicone ones, although I don't know if those are potentially toxic or not.

Good luck on your quest!

I just saw these at Organic Grace yesterday, actually.

Personally, I use silicone, though.

have you checked antique or thrift stores? Our muffin pans all belonged to my grandmother.

Mine are cast iron... I think I got them off of shopperschoice.com, or something... They're wonderful A bit pricy (I think I paid $34 total for two?), but they'll last forever search for cast iron 11 hole muffin pan

Thank you! I don't even want the fumes of the teflon coating close to my food so for me no not even with liners. All teflon is gone from my house

I, too, have gotten rid of all non-stick bakeware, even if parchment or muffin liner paper would be the only thing touching the food. My worry is of fumes from the non-stick chemicals.

I picked up a set of stainless, 6-muffin cup pans from my local Kitchen Collection store/outlet. They are made by Hamilton Beach and I think I paid 9.99 each. They are so worth it! I have just searched their site and they don't seem to be there anymore... I hope they didn't discontinue them.

Anyway, maybe you could try this as an alternative:

It's a little pricey and I cannot speak to the quality, but this company makes a stainless square cake pan I have had my eye on for a long time. Maybe santa will leave it under my tree this year?

Also, http://www.cornerkitchenpeddler.com/ offers a lot of stainless bakeware with descriptions for each. Some prices more reasonable than others. You may want to check them out. I have never ordered from them before, though, so I can't speak to their reputation as an online retailer.

Williams Sonoma usually has both aluminum or non-stick with all of their pans, you might want to check them out.

I use Pampered Chef stoneware pans...they become pretty nonstick without the chemicals.
