nak

this is what I was told:

1. red, possibly w/clots
2. pink and serumy. if it goes red again, you're overdoing it & need to take it easy
3. brown and very stinky

it certainly has been true for me.

mine turned red again, ugh

I had hardly anything the first few days pp, because I was mainly lying down with baby all day long and all night (because of a tear, trying to get it to heal faster). My mw said that once I'm up and about (as I am now) there'll be more of it, and there has been. But my mw was not concerned. It certainly isn't very heavy these days. Maybe if it was she'd say I'm doing too much too fast.

This has been my experience as well. I am currently between stage 2 and 3 since I overdid it during the holidays.

Mine keeps stopping altogether for 12-24 hours and then comes back again between stages 2-3. My area gets achy when it stops. Wonder if I'm doing too much walking? LO sleeps so well in the sling and the weather's been gorgeous, I just can't resist cruising around the neighborhood.

So when do you need to worry about the lochia smell? I'm in the very brown stage at this point and it smells gross. :/

I seem to be trapped in a limbo between nothing and stage 2, with the stage 3 stink. It's delightful.
