Caleb is almost 3 and he's turning into such a lactivist. He was prematurely weaned at 4 months and his brother is 17.5m/o and still nursing 1-2x a day (I am hoping to keep him nursing and then once the baby is born he can nurse more if he wants). At any rate Caleb is fascinated by nursing and my boobies...He loves to help me *hold* the boobie and squeeze it (I have no idea why he started this but he won't stop) He loves to announce to everyone that Jake loves his boobies and if Jake gets too crabby he will come up to me and say "mommy, Jakey needs a boobie!"
I asked him if his sister would nurse and he said "kitty (Katie) likes boobies too!" So far it hasn't been an issue that Jake nurses and he doesn't...I just explain that we weren't able to make it work and every so often I offer him EBM in a cup and he doesn't really like it. I guess in his mind some babies/toddlers like boobies and some don't.
