THanks ladies!!!

Losing lots of "baby cork" tonight. As in, globs and globs. But I tried to feel my cervix and I can't tell if it's just from my hands being swollen, but it doesn't seem as dilated as usual. Lots of cramps. But nothing. And I tried external castor oil last night, I don't know if I said anything earlier. But it didn't do a dang thing. I had been having ctxs for 4 hours every 3-5 mins and as soon as I started the castor oil compress, they STOPPED.

40+1 here. Managed to drag my butt (in a snowstorm no less) to yoga, then walked 2/3 mile at the Y. The yoga teacher is also a midwife and felt the baby for me to check position--Occipital-something-with-a-T(Transverse?)-Anterior
, which is apparently a good thing. She also convinced me that I shouldn't go to a "just in case" NST tomorrow at the hospital since she's worried (as am I) that they'll try to convince me to stay and be induced (I posted yesterday that my docs are pushing primary elective C/S or induction due to a "big baby").
Doing my best to relax and convince this little gal to make her way out!

Yeah, it's pretty out there and crazy that your OB would try to pressure you into a primary elective C/S because they think you have a "big baby." I'm glad you've done your research and know how flawed that logic is.
I'm a big fan of that whole scientific method, and it really astounds me how much of obstetrics seems to completely ignore empirical data.

Thanks for the support. That OB gave me nightmares on Friday, but by Saturday, after a shiatsu and some silly romantic comedies on cable, I was able to sleep better than I have in weeks.
It also helps that DH is a evolutionary biologist, so we're not so easily impressed with a doctor's interpretation of "the data."
It just sucks to have to go into combat mode at a time when I should be relaxing and focused on positive thoughts!
