Need one-shot input

My ex-bf, who I am on good terms with, but not very close, just found out via U/S that they are expecting a baby boy. They live in British Columbia which has one of the lowest circ rates in Canada (~5%), so I am relatively confident that they are not going to circ. However, my boss' son is in BC and just circ'ed their son (which surprised me because they are both organic, nature-loving people), so it does still happen.

I want to send an email with the tone of "congratulations on your son! I wanted to pass some information along to you about intact care, since I assume you won't be circ'ing based on BC's less than 5% circ rate...."

What all would you say, in a one-shot email. On the off-chance I don't get a reply, I want to make sure I've said everything I *need* to.

Sounds like a good idea, but try being a bit smoother with the actual email.

i would also tell them that they and their son are lucky to be living in a time and country where the functions of the foreskin are known and the mental/physical/sexual problems of circumcision are understood.

I might say something like, "I don't know about you, but I'm grateful I live in Canada, where there is no pressure to circumcise baby boys."
