do you have a gestational name?

With my first pregnancy referring to "the baby" all the time got tedious, but I was paranoid about calling DS by our chosen name even once we knew we were having a boy. This time I have decided to call the baby "Elvis" while in utero. DH and DS are going along with it as well, in fact I'm not sure DS really understands that the baby will get a new name once it's born. Heh. I remind him now and then that it COULD be a girl.

Anyway, just wondering if others have temporary names for the baby while gestating?

Yes, we call our baby "Baby Douglas" as we have all of our babies We are not finding out the sex (I don't think anyway so that works for us as Douglas is our last name.

While TTC we have always talked about "Little Lazenby #3." We found out the gender of our first two, but since we have a boy and a girl, we will not be finding out the gender of this one. So, I guess will continue calling this one "Little Lazenby" or "Little Laz."

Oh, we definitely have had names for both our pregnancies...DS was affectionately referred to as Cletus the Fetus and currently this one is Bubba-Joe the Embryo. Not sure if we will call him/her Cletus the Fetus Jr. once we reach 8 weeks.

BTW, it was REALLY difficult not calling DS Cletus after he was born.

We do not have a name yet. I accidentally called it bean, but that is DS's nickname. We have not come up with anything yet.

DS was Spud (which DH hated but couldn't come up with anything better). This one will either be Sprout or Mater (like Ta-mater...I love that movie!) I will give DH a chance to come up with something if he wants but we too are not finding out the gender and I hate saying "The Baby". It reminds me of that Sienfield episode...

Mater is really cute, but my son would call it mater forever. . . he's obsessed with mater.

I'm fine with "the baby" at this point. Maybe after an ultrasound or later I'll get tired of "the baby" and move on to peanut or bean. :-)

My stillborn son was Guido in utero. This one I think we have settled on "La Squirt" because "she" is daddy's little squirt. :: Also when I talk to "her" I call her my little sweetheart.
