Hey should I be losing weight right now? I am at 34 weeks and I just got on the scale and I have lost 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I have not been sick I have not been eating any less that I have notices. I just don't understand why I am losing. The baby is moving just as much as ever if not more. I don't think anything is wrong with her. What could it be?

I have no idea. Are you eating enough? I remember seeing your picture and IMO you don't have 10 lbs extra. I wouldn't be worried at all if I lost some weight but even me (weighing 210 currently) losing 10 lbs in two weeks would be worrysome even for me. That seems like too much in a short time.
Of course, I'm not an expert and for all I know this is okay, but if I were you I'd call the dr or midwife on Wednesday and just let them know and see what they say about it.

Dehydration, or absence of water retention? Weight gain still isn't an indication of anything, but a big loss like that normally only comes in the last days before labour- and frankly, no matter how fed up you are, you still ain't there yet.
If you've suddenly changed your diet and added a lot of diuretics, you could theoretically be losing some water weight.

Well I haven't changed my diet other than I am craving red apples so I have been eating about 5 day.
: Maybe with the holiday I am just not paying attention to what I am eating and I am eating less than usual. I will monitor over the next few days and try to notice my appetite and things like that. I honestly don't feel like anything is wrong or off. Today though when I got up to go to the bathroom I happened to glance at the mirror and I noticed I looked smaller than usual so I got on the scale. Who knows, maybe the scale is off. IDK. I may give the doc a call though. I certainly don't mind going early but no earlier than 37 weeks.

Are you using the same scale to weigh yourself?
Eat up, girl! Weight should be going up up up right now.
(I'm also into apples, too! How funny!)

An old wives tale says that an apple a day helps protect against asthma

I read somewhere that you can lose weight in the 3rd tri because you start to lose amniotic fluid. But I don't know when that's supposed to start. Maybe it would be best to call just to make sure?

They say apples expand once you've eaten them and make you less hungry? Could the apples be acting as an appetite suppressant for you? I know you are supposed to lose in the third trimester but I thought that was only just 2lbs or so during the last month.

I've been eating tons of apples, too. YUM, tart green Granny Smiths. I haven't been gaining, though not losing really, but that's been the story with me this entire pregnancy, so whatever...
