SO Tired

I can't sleep at night. I can't get comfy. I have a pregnancy pillow and it doesn't work for me. I have a body pillow and I have a little more success, but not much. So far all I can do is use a really fluffy pillow and prop my leg up so I can kind of lay on my stomach, but I still can't sleep.
I'm getting at most 2 hours a night, and it's catching up with me. I normally am able to nap but with the holidays and in laws and such, I can't as much. Now I am on the verge of tears I'm so tired.

Any tips or hints? Does anyone know of anything that can help me sleep, that isn't bad for me?
I try relaxing, but I get so frustrated that I can't get comfortable. Sigh. Normally I just finally fall asleep in the morning and sleep late, but again with in laws.

I'm so right with you on the exhaustion and not sleeping thing... at least we can finally say we really do only have a few more weeks of this, and then we'll be not sleeping because of crying children!

I have to sleep semi-upright from about five months on, otherwise the heartburn is too unbearable. on my side, tilted upright with my hips flat (so that Seamonkey gets off my colon for a little while ). Otherwise, there is no sleeping. The heartburn is absolutely the least bearable thing for me (not that the legs going numb is so comfortable, but it's a lot better than the heartburn!).

Dea, I thought of you this morning when I woke up at 4 in the a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep until 5. I wish I had some good advice, I know some people take melatonin and Benadryl is safe, I took that once or twice in the beginning when my allergies were hindering my sleep. The only issue I have with melatonin is that it really intensifies one's dreams. I can't sleep too elevated or I wake up with achy hips every hour and have to flip, but then if I lay flat on my side I get the killer heartburn. And for some reason I can't lay down comfortably during the day. I just keep thinking that after baby arrives I am going to lay on my back every chance I get!

Ugh, I guess we're in the "your body's training you for the postpartum weeks" phase of pregnancy! I can go to sleep ok. It's just that I wake up to pee every hour and a half or so, and have a hard time falling back to sleep. Then when I wake up in the 3 o'clock hour, I usually can't go back to sleep. I wake up at either 4:30 or 5:30, so that time between 3:15 or so and wakeup would be crucial, instead I lie there annoyed I can't go to sleep, tired and needing to sleep, and unable to get one of many annoying songs out of my head. This morning, it was "The Mighty Quinn" (Actually it's been that a few mornings). I've not even heard that song in years!!

Blech. Me No Like. Especially since I"m having a hard time during the commute - I usually nod off on the way to or from home. Not good... PHOOEY.
