anyone else hate the bed right now? - Page 2

Tossing and turning here too, and for the same reasons - I cannot sleep on my side all night without the hip on the mattress suffering.

Last night, I finally got comfortable... six pillows later... and fell asleep - only to wake up with my poor, poor husband staring at me mournfully and saying that I snore like a buzzsaw.

The best sleep I'm getting is the last hour of the night, when he pulls me over to him and I can treat him like a body pillow. His legs are exactly the right height and firmness to relieve my hip pain. Too bad he can't sleep that way all the time! I used to be unable to sleep curled up on him, but now I'm so tired that I zonk out the instant I get comfortable.

I hear you all. I usually love my bed, but right now it stinks. I can sleep on my side but my belly is so heavy that it pulls me down and puts a strain on my back. I have tried propping my belly up but that hasn't worked. I sleep for a couple of hours, wake up with a terrible backache, get up to pee, get a drink, and go back to bed, this time on the other side in hopes of getting a few hours.

The other night I stretched out my legs in hopes of finding a good position and the cat started licking my foot. Dumb cats. They find me irresistible right now.

And it hurts so bad to turn over in bed. The pain in my lower back and butt makes it a long process.

Gripe, gripe, gripe.......

I'm with you all. Glad to hear I'm not alone, but feel bad for us all! I don't remember this from last time! I really can't believe I might have 6 or 8 weeks left of this... Waah!
I have the restless legs too, and echo the magnesium supplement advice.
I have the 2 year old too, luckily he is sleeping well lately!

The issue for me isn't that I can't sleep through the night... because I've never been able to sleep through the night. The issue is how uncomfortable I am at night. I want soooooooooooooooo badly to be able to sleep on my tummy. Can't sleep on my back because then my lower back and legs get achy and I can definitely tell that circulation is being cut off. I can only sleep on one side for just a little while at a time because then my hips start to hurt really badly and I have to roll over. And the rolling over... OMG, you'd think I was partially paralized or something because of the amount of effort it takes for me to roll over. Then once I've rolled, I have to go through this huge ordeal of rearranging all my pillows. Then, as soon as I get comfortable, my bladder will scream at me and I have to be really careful getting up because at night my round ligaments are getting really sore and my MW told me to get up slowly so I don't pull them. And then to top it all off, I get REALLY thirsty at night. And, yeah, I could just keep a glass of water next to my bed, but the catch with drinking anything at night is that
1. It makes me pee more often than if I don't (which is already 5-6 times a night)
and 2. I take a drink of something (anything) and then when I lay back down, it all travels back up my esophagus and the heartburn and reflux kick back in. And if I take more than one dose of tums a night, I get this really awful antacid taste in the back of my mouth that makes me want to vomit. BLEH

When morning finally comes, my back is all sore, my round ligaments hurt, and my abdominal muscles around the top and sides of my belly are achy. So, yeah... night time isn't my best time.

I'm getting freaking bedsores or something. My left hip has this red, itchy, tingly spot where my weight rests. (I've been sleeping on my L to prevent posterior positioning.) EW.

I can ONLY sleep on my left side. It hurts. When I go to my right side, I feel panicky and like I'm not breathing. Same for my back. My poor left hip. I need to get to the chiropractor for some TLC!! We just got a new bed so I know that's not the problem! I think I'm going to order a wool topper for it for some extra cush on top to relieve some pressure, and/or a cheapy eggcrate for even more relief.

Can I say love-hate? I have a hard time getting comfortable on the bed, but sleep better once I fall asleep there (and have less hip pain when I wake up). I fall asleep much easier on the couch but wake up sore. Can I say I hate SLEEPING right now?? :

I find our bed extremely uncomfortable right now...also felt the same way during my second pregnancy. We bought it 3 years ago so, as far as I'm concerned it's still new. Anyway, for some reason when I'm pregnant it's intolerable. I can't sleep on my left because it makes my lower belly and back ache, I can't sleep on my right because I wake up with back ache and can't make those mad dashes to the bathroom. I started sleeping propped up with pillows which seems to work and helps with my indigestion...also my baby tends to like this position ( lots of exercise ).

i haven't but i will now!!

i don't know if this has anything to do with anything but i just listened to my hypnobabies for the second night and sleep was awesome!!

i finally didn't hurt. i think it might have to do with all those, i love my pregnant body messages but you better believe that i'm going to tune in every night.

my husband even commented on how *he* was waking up more than i was last night.
