Deterioration of foreskin and circ'd as adult, what would cause that?

A friend of mine's DH was circ'd as an adult because he was in a lot of pain and had "deterioration" of the foreskin. Anyone heard of this?

Well it could have been a infection that was not treated properly leading to major scar tissue around the ridged band. If he had diabetis they can have more trouble than normal with their foreskin (and every other part of the body for that matter) but without more information it would be impossible to say what was going on.

Deterioration of the foreskin!? I've never heard of that before in my life! :

Yeast infection, blantitis, gangreen, over vigorous use of soap, who knows? Since we can not count on proper dx and appropriate treatment from the US medical establishment all we can do is speculate. It may have been a proper treatment, but there is a better chance it was something that could have been cleared up with a $10 bottle of cream.

And I found this- I think it is from a pro-circ site?

There also could have been damage from over-zealous cleaning and premature retraction when he was little.
