Munchies, anyone?

I swear - I could eat all. day. long.

I'm trying to stay healthy - pumpkin seeds, almonds, olives, carrots ... but the carb cravings are just *intense*. Like the entire bag of snack-size Twix I bought wouldn't satisfy the cravings intense. I can't actually be this hungry, can I?

Of course you can! Are you breastfeeding? I was ravenous when I breastfed. MUCH more than when I was pregnant. I ate constantly. Fortunately, it was what my body needed as I still continued to lose weight. Sounds like you're doing the right thing by making mostly helpful choices!

Yeah, I am breastfeeding - I just don't remember being this hungry last time around. 'Course my "body reserves" are a bit less this time around ...

OMG, I am always WAY hungrier when breastfeeding than when pregnant. Remember, you are keeping TWO humans alive (maybe 3, if you are tandeming) and one of those humans is working on doubling their weight in a matter of weeks.

I was able to go through pints of ben&jerrys all the while continuing to lose weight. :

: I remember being ravenous when nursing newborn DS, far more so than either pregnancy.

Well, I'm hopeful that my all-day snacking is compatible with some weight loss ... dunno if I'll test it with a whole pint of B&J's (tho some Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream is sounding mighty fine about now ... ) but I'm certainly not going to starve

I have the same issue. The problem is that I gain weight when I eat. Even if it is healthy food I will gain weight. Argh!! IT totally stinks. I am trying to make a list of waht I eat and then not eat anymore past what I am "supposed to". I am nursing my twins still but only occasionally because I want to be sure I have enough milk for the baby! My twins would nurse all day if I let them.
