I did a heroic deed for the day. I took my 13 yr old son jeans shopping. Got two pairs, yeah us. And a cool pair of shoes for his bday next week.

So I am behind on my day. It is cold and rainy and nasty and I.need.a.nap.

THEN look out storage porch. I'm giving it an hour today because I am on call tomorrow.

be back with progress

Did way more than 30 minutes BUT... I have 3 trash bags plus box of trash (mostly my old sad looking clothes) to go, a big box to donate, a paper bag full of books on the porch to be freecycled, a box of items next to my desk to be ebayed tonight and one WAY neater bedroom closet!!More to be done in here (nak) but now I have room to store the Christmas stuff!!

Yay, pantry and fridge done.

Think that will be it for the day. We've been out in the garden and not sure what else to move on to, so might take a break since I got through quite a bit yesterday.

today's goal accomplished

It actually took 2 30-min sessions, but the living room is clean.

Tomorrow I will tackle the kitchen and my bathroom, but the bathroom will probably take more than 30 mins itself. I also need to bathe the cat, does that count as cleaning??!! She's longhaired and sheds everywhere. The cat hair is my biggest cleaning problem, can't seem to keep anything clean because of it.

Having this challenge is a great motivator for me. Glad I found it.

Just as I finished my last post I got called in to work, ended up in an angioplasty that took a long time. So tomorrow the storage area had better run and hide. Of course I'm on call til next Wed so who knows.

I finished my dining room...I cleaned off the table, dusted, polished, swept, mopped and dusted my light fixture and blinds...YAY me.

I also spent time in my kitchen, but, I swear that room just keep getting dirty. I'm going to get to the office tomorrow. It's yuck in here!

Go everyone! I'm finding this thread very motivating and it's now become addictive where I can't stop till I've gone through the entire house!

Today I also tackled my large antique storage drawers which are in my hallway - they basically store everything that gets used on a day to day that doesn't have a room of it's own (stationery, wrapping paper, telephone books, craft stuff for the kids and myself, sewing paraphenalia, kids journals that I note stuff down in). We don't have ANY storage cupboards in this house (aside from a linen one and one small one in the laundry and wardrobes)so this chest of drawers is it.

All done! Gone are the multiple kids paintings, junk, broken toys (I even fixed two since I found the missing pieces in the drawer to go in the donate pile) and things returned to respective drawers. Was stoked to find things I thought I'd lost or didn't have enough of (packing paper and bubble wrap for when I sell stuff online).

my project for the day was...switching my middle and youngest sons bedrooms. They decided to swap bedrooms. OMG. Well they got a super cleaning and decluttering. I gotta say other than the storage room our house is in rockin good shape. You all wanna come over for some wine and snacks and see it??? Tomorrow I already have three cases so nothing will get done. Monday is the day for the "room" (scary music swells, think psycho).

Let's hear whats up in your worlds....

My MB is DONE...what a relief...tomorrow...back porch. I am so tired of struggling to get thru there if I am carrying anything. Not sure where it all will live but the shelves and thier contents gotta go!!

My day got a little off track today, so nothing got done. Will do extra tomorrow!

Kitchen, a bathroom or tackle my shelf in the basement?

We'll see.

Everyone's doing GREAT!

(coming in late)

I can't stand starting a new year w a messy/cluttered house, so I spend most of new year's eve cleaning & decluttering. I can't wait!

I did 35 minutes in my kitchen. I'll do 25 minutes later...partly in the kitchen and maybe in the living room. We'll see. My junk drawer looks GREAT!

How is everyone else doing?

I fell off the wagon the last few days and it ain't gonna happen now - we're heading out for NYE shortly (yep, it's here! ). We're in a pretty good position though declutter-wise. I just want to work on DS's wardrobe and a few bits and pieces, but I'm motivated enough to get through it before I take the box of stuff to the hospice shop next week.

Happy New Year to you, nathansmum!

I'm back in today; I took the weekend off. So, today I'm going to do 2 sets of 30 minutes to catch up.

1st: 30 minutes to gather some Christmas decorations to store later this week. We'll be taking the tree down later this week too.

2nd: 30 minutes to sort through a small bin of saved newborn clothes. I need to find out what we have/don't have for the new one coming This may actually take longer than 30 minutes because DD declared she will be helping me.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd jump in today.

There are two totes full of stuff in my front living room that I determined last night all belonged to BIL's ex-GF who moved out last summer and needs to go to Goodwill. So I'll be bagging it up to reclaim my totes and putting an end table that's currently shoved under something else in that spot.
