Granted, we could call and get him to come home, but then we'd have to pay for it and reschedule it and pay for it again. And that's a lot of Saturday morning allowances, capice bebe?
Remember how you did such a great job all day long on Christmas when I told you to stay put and you did? Show mama how well you can behave again.
And baby, that means no more of those crampy feelings, because they're making mama nervous. Just hold off about 15 more hours and then we'll be good to rock and roll. There's a good boy. Sit. Stay. Good boy.
If this works for you, I have 5 kids that need a talkin too. If you aren't busy...

I didn't have any before, just recently.

Oh christ!
I'm So sorry to hear that! I'd be worried too and what awful timing.
Sending you healing vibes your way. :

I am way, way, way too excited that there was a chunk of mucous in the toilet after I went just now. I even went and got a flashlight so I could look at it better and then had my hubby look at it too. How exciting! I'm still not expecting things to really get going, but hey there is proof that it is going, woo-hooo!

40+5 days here. Not too impatient, but had a doctor appt today that was much better than last one where OB "offered" primary elective c/s, then "strongly recommended" induction that same day. This OB was frank enough to explain why her colleagues were so scalpel-happy, going through how they've all seen their friends get sued and had their lives ruined, and how they are young enough to be shocked that some women don't actually want to be induced (the OB was a lot older than her colleagues). She still wanted us to make an appt for induction, for whenever we wanted, but just so we had that option available. So I made an appt for a week from Saturday, when I will be 42 weeks. Don't know if I'll keep it, but now at least they'll be off my butt a little and I will have the option if I choose it.
Must go fill my prescription for lots of sex now...

41 weeks today. US and NST were great and I'm 2cm and 80% effaced, so things are progressing. The Dr. poked around a pit, which caused a little bloody mucous for the rest of the day. Tonight, I got acupuncture to induce labor, but so far, nuthin.

Family drama has made me very emotional in the past 24 hours, but it's better now. Dad is off to FL and will miss the birth. Brothers are visiting Mom, but no one will drive the 1.5 hours to see me, so i'm missing out on all the family stuff. Oh, well, I have a baby coming and that's what I'm trying to focus on.

39+5 and still here. I'm feeling pressure from my OB (who pushed the "elective induction" yesterday), my friend who LOVES her inductions and told me that I was putting my baby at risk, and a DH who is worried about a stupid tax deduction.

The only person keeping me semi-sane is my Mom, who told me that I'm doing the best thing for the baby. She also told me that the induction talk was a bunch of &*()#$# (she pretty much never cusses, so it was interesting to see her so riled up).

I'm not even 40 weeks yet for crying out loud! I always go at least a week over with my babies anyway.

So, I'm hiding out at home, catching up on Heroes, and letting the kids run wild...

I'm gonna cry...

So.. . . my water just broke. In Target . It actually waited until I went into the bathroom! I never saw my mucus plug so I was surprised. I can't believe how much fluid comes out! My baby is probably actually going to come on the day I mentally planned on - the 28th. (I like nice round numbers) I'm so excited. My dh is running around the house like a madman fixing stuff It's cute.
Send me vibes!

Oooh, Elsaraw, happy labor vibes! I love that your water broke in Target. That's so cinematic.
So Aaron is off to his sleep study and will be back home around 6 a.m. In response, I have decided to relish what could be my last single girl night in a long time. I have, thus far, changed into fleece pajama pants, curled up on the sofa with the dogs and watched a ridiculously cheesy chick flick, eaten chocolate ice cream and drank a little glass of wine (hey, midwife's orders). I plan to soak in a hot bubble bath, maybe watch another ridiculously cheesy chick flick or crack open a book, and get a good night's sleep.
Note that going into labor is not on the menu tonight. In a perfectly ideal world, I'll wake up right as he's walking back in the door, both of us all relaxed and refreshed, and I'll go into labor then.
