Anyone already thinking of names?

I know some of us (all?) are a little worried, so lets have some positive thoughts

I'm obsessed, I'm always looking and listening for different names and last night we went through my master list. I've got a few in mind, but since we won't be finding out the gender, we won't be naming the child until we meet him or her.

For boys I'm loving:
Harrison
Kiefer
William or Liam
Finn
Rowan or Roan
Walker
Eli
Noah
Charles (Charlie)

and for girls I'm loving:
Grace
Esmé
Isabella
Violet
Lily or Lillian
Ainslie
Rowan
Scarlett
Ruby
Finlay
Schuyler
Marlowe
Maggie

Just to name a few What names do you like or have you settled on any?

I had names picked out before I even conceived. For a girl it will be Lilith May, and for a boy it will be Jacob Vaughn.

I spent some time online last night looking at name sites! I have a small list going, but dh doesn't want to talk about it yet!

We are settled on John Thomas for a boy. This was DH's great grandfather's name.

No clue for a baby girl. Hopefully not "Baby Girl".

The title of your post made me laugh out loud!!! I think names were the hardest part of my last pregnancy! My husband and I ended up each contributing 10 girl names and 10 boy names to a list so we had 20 of each. Then, each week we'd vote one off like survivor. It turned what was a really tense subject for us into a much more light hearted endeavor. This time names hadn't even crossed my mind yet until I saw your post. Now I think I'll have to start getting my lists ready again!

We have our names picked out already:

Boy:

Malachi Augustin (older boys have OT names and love the meaning and Augustin was DH's great-grandfather's name)

Girl:

Selah Raquel (Selah is from Psalms and I have loved it since I was 18 & my middle name is Rae so she would somewhat be named after me)

I've been thinking of a few.

Girl
Poppy
Althea
Alethea
Rowan
Saoirse (pronounced seer'-sha) (My husband doesn't like this one)

Boy
Brom (this is my husband's idea - I'm not particularly thrilled)

Just like last time - we are having a hard time with boy names!

If anyone has some botanical suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Im sure it will change like a million times down the road but we like Samantha Marie for a girl and Jack or Jaxon Edward for a boy so far.

There are only two names that I like. The girl name is the same as when I was pregs with ds Anna Katherine or Anna Grace. If I EVER have a daughter she will be Anna. We are still going back and forth about a boy name -there's time

I have. And I feel slightly ridiculous for it, too. I think it's too early for me to put anything out there yet.

P.S. I think Poppy is adorable!!!!

Sorry ladies, I'm lurking. Hoping to join you next week!

I really like Bracken and Leif for a boy; less excited about Moss, Brier, Fern.

For a boy- James Michael for our two deceased grandfathers. FOr a girl- undecided. DH wants Giada and I want Isabella. Let's hope we have a boy, lol.

I don't think I could ever do "Leif." I think I've seen that "Behind the Music" episode with Leif Garrett when he meets the kid who he hurt in the car accident ONE TOO MANY TIMES.

Love all the names, especially Poppy but DH vetoed that unless we have a November baby.

Botanical names, hmm going to have to think about that - Rowan does come from the Rowan tree. Although I've always thought Sage and River would be cute siblings.

I know this thread is a little silly, but I *need* something to focus on right now

We've already picked out names. Lee is a family middle name in my family and I want to keep that up, so… girl: Dagmar Lee; boy: Bastian Lee. Dagmar would be pronounced the Danish way (seems obvious, right?) which is not like you'd expect unless you're Danish. The Dag rhymes with cow.

For a girl it will be Lilith May

My dd1 is Lilith and we call her Lily. I actually wanted to name her May after my grandma, but her last name is West....

Which leads me to botanicals. I love Ivy, Lily (obviously), Rose, Daisy, Rowan, Sage, Forest.

So many names from your list are on my list!! (I've already used Scarlett though )...Hopefully you won't mind if some of your names are on my list - my sister gets really upset if we like the same names just in case I "take" one of hers!!

Boys:
Fox
Leif
River
Harrison
Finn

Girls:
Marlowe
Ruby
Maeve

If we have a boy, we're naming him after a family member, so it's just girls' names we have to think of.

I like really old fashioned names. I was thinking of Clara. My husband likes Vera. We both like Eleanor. But we know too many Ellies. I'm not too sure.
