Wool Felt - does it pill?

I have made lots of acrylic felt playfood for dd but after 3 months of use, it's beginning to look really shabby.

Does wool felt pill like acrylic does? Does it get all fuzzy and nasty? I'm considering redoing everything with wool, but if I'll get the same results over time then we're just gonna go with wood instead.

Anyone know?

No, 100% wool felt does not pill like acrylic does and stays nice for a long time- it's pretty durable, especially the thicker Spanish type. I just take a steam iron and press the surface, and it's good as new, again. I think wool felt is truly worth the investment for hand crafted items.

It depends on what kind of wool it's made out of. I've found merino will pill, romeny holds up pretty well though. Comercially made wool felt seems to hold up better than most of the hand made i've encountered. They all last better than acrilic though.
