I don't think I've ever introduced myself

I've been at MDC for a while, but I just realized that I never actually posted an introduction in the "Pleased to Meet You" forum!

I'm Ruth, a single mom to three wonderful children- a 13yo daughter, an 11yo daughter, and a 6yo son. I'm currently homeschooling my 11yo, although the other two attend school.

I'm no longer breastfeeding or cloth diapering anybody or cosleeping with any of my (not so) little ones, but I do snuggle with the 6yo before bed and first thing in the morning most days.

I mostly follow a Traditional Foods diet, although my kids' diets have lots of room for improvement. I try to minimize how many disposable products I use- we use cloth napkins, washable rags for cleaning, cloth grocery bags, etc.

I think I'm going to fit right in on MDC! :

Ah, "welcome" to MDC! It's a strange and wonderful place; I hope you decide to stay awhile.

I have never introduced myself either, I think I'll wait a few thousand more to.

Going for the ever popular "fashionably late" style?

Hey, I don't think I ever intro'd myself, either... Meh, give it another couple years, I need to find out whether I really fit in here.

Hi Ruthla, I've been enjoying your posts for some time. I'm a newly single mom, also currently homeschooling, and also with a 6 yr old boy (and 2 yr old girl).

A few months ago, I realized I'd never introduced myself in this forum- I think I was replying to somebody else who was "apologizing" for making her intro so late, and it prompted me to do a search for threads started in this forum by "ruthla" and I verified that I'd never introduced myself in here (although I did plenty of introductions in the various forums I posted in a lot- primarily BF at the time. I found MDC when I was getting a lot of flack for BF a 3yo in my former online "home".)

So I decided to make my 30,000th post special and do it in here instead of TAO (talk amongst ourselves; only available to members who have been here at least 60 days and have at least 50 posts).

Well, Ruth; I think you've started a trend of late (late...late) introductions. I don't think I ever introduced myself here either....I guess I have to wait now!

But here's the REAL question: Since you've been here longer than I have; can I really say "welcome to MDC" and not be out of place?

I was thinking the same thing. So instead of "Welcome" I think I'll just say, THANK YOU. So many of your thoughts and ideas have been very helpful and inspiring to many of us here.
