BUT, having said that... these are my tricks for actually doing something:

Plus yoga once or twice a week.
(that sounded funny when I typed it, but it's not, I swear!) It's like a pulled muscle or something.
It is worse after a workout (which typically includes 2 mile walk, lunges/squats, weight lifting). It is very painful when I sit cross legged on a hard floor. Sometimes first thing in the morning.
) and flatten out the curve in my spine somewhat. And I do some yoga-style back and hip exercises from the book Active Birth. I like 'em a lot!
. I love to swim and used to run but my back hates it so I only do it when the weather is agreeable (rare) and I just neeeed to be active. Lately I've taken up belly dancing but if I could swim 30 min 4 times a week I'd be stoked.
