Meat left out overnight.....help please!

Hi All...

My husband got out some nice pasture-raised beef steaks last night to thaw
out and then put in the fridge before bed. However, they never were put in the fridge.

So we get down there this morning and there they were, still sealed and obviously completely thawed. Would you cook and eat them? I guess they'll have to be well-done. I could marinate them today in wine if that would help. I am 38 weeks pregnant.

Thanks for any info...

How cold does your house get at night?

Were they vacuum sealed?

I'd make sure to marinate it in alcohol of some sort, then I'd probably cut them up and make kebobs or something (to make sure it's cooked through) but I wouldn't have a problem eating them as long as they didn't smell off.

I always leave my meat setting out over night to thaw most of the time with a fan blowing on it : I have never had a problem doing that. I always make sure my meat is well cooked tho.

Yup, I'd still eat it. I don't like rare meat, so I cook meat thoroughly anyway.

I'd eat it and I wouldn't worry about cooking it thoroughly, IF it's grassfed. W/ conventional beef, I'd be more worried, and marinate in alcohol, cook through, taste some and wait a while before serving to my family, etc.

Thanks, Everyone...

I'm going to to marinate it in wine, garlic, salt and olive oil. :
Our downstairs temp at night is around 68 degrees. I'm really hoping this works out...it is grass-fed organic beef that we bought directly from
a local ranch. I really appreciate your responses!

Blessings,
