Just a vent...

I wake up every other day in pain- seriously. One day I'm fine, so I do housework, run errands, take the kids places and function normally. The next day I am reduced to lying on my side on the couch all day. Yesterday was a good day, so we took the kids and my inlaws and my niece to the local science center. I managed well (or so I thought), and took rests, left early and didn't over exert myself. Today I wake up feeling like I was hit by a train. I'm nauseous, crampy, my back hurts, I have hemorrhoids and my tailbone feels bruised. I'm also a miserable irritable bitch, wishing I could just send the whole family away and take a day off sitting at the computer wasting away surfing the net. Even listening to the sound of the furnace coming on or people walking through the house is enough to drive me crazy. I can't wait for everyone to go to bed so I can have some quiet time in silence and get my head back together before going to bed myself. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

My teenager is in a mood, and my little ones are cranky cause I'm so cranky. It's just not a good day. Not at all. I really hope tomorrow is better.

Now that I have that out of the way, what can I do about the tailbone pain, nausea and hemorrhoids? Anyone know?

HUGS!

Tailbone pain- maybe sitting on pillows?

Hemrrhoids- tucks pads, or ice cloths

Nasuea- maybe ginger tea?

I hate those kinds of days...

Pure, unrfined shea butter worked WONDERS on my 'roids when I had them early along in this pregnancy. For simple pain relief, even a cold washcloth helps; that and vaseline was all I had access to after dd's birth and both of those things helped, even though they stuck around positively forever.

Ginger Tea worked wonders for my morning sickness.

Would sitting on a birth ball (exercise ball) help the tailbone pain?

Have you tried Yellow Dock and Liquid Chlorophyll for the bone-numbing exhaustion yet? I think I feel immediate relief, but it could just be the placebo effect since I've only been taking them for two days.

I have days like that too. My teenager, fortunately, is an absolute sweetheart about all things uncomfortable in pregnancy; I hope it's not just the hormones making me THINK he's as wonderful as he seems.

Thanks for the advice and hugs mamas. I sent dh out for Prep H wipes, wich hazel, witch hazel pads, and a yoga ball. I should have asked him to get me some chocolates while he was out!

Bedtime is soon and I politely explained to my teen that she should just steer clear of me for the rest of the day. I told her I'm just not being nice today and hopefully she'll heed my warning. I hated to do that, but I really just don't want to talk to anyone. Weird that message boards don't bother me. Maybe it's the lack of noise.

I've been getting overstimulated lately with the sounds of Christmas, in-laws and my dh and oldest dd being home for Christmas break. Maybe I'll feel better once we get back to our normal routines.

Nausea is not so bad as long as I sit still and don't try to move around much. I was taking floradix to help the exhaustion but maybe I'll try the clorophyll and I need to go back to my midwife's herbal tea recipe and drink a quart of that daily.
