Baby Vagabonder (Rebecca) arrived on December 18th.
I unfortunately did not have the labor I had envisioned and ended up with a c-section. I'm still not ready to type about it, but I am so grateful to have our little girl here with us.
On top of the c-section, unfortunately Rebecca had a seizure on her birth day so was immediately sent to the NICU. She has had several since then, and so is not expected to go home with us for another few days. I had not closely looked at NICU's when choosing hospitals because I had thought that would never happen to us. Fortunately the doctors and nurses at the hospital are very intelligent, compassionate and thorough, so we know she in in great hands. It has been a physically and emotionally exhausting week, but our spirits are lifting every day she goes without one. We can't wait to take her home with us for a true babymoon.
