She is two weeks old today, and already, I can barely remember our family without her! I will probably be saying and writing "2007" for at least 4 months, but Bethany has already become flawlessly woven into the fabric of our family--what kind of miracle is that??

OMG, this whole thread is hysterical. So glad I'm not the only one. I knew it was bad when I overheard DD #1 (wearing her doll in her mini hotsling and holding her hand up to protect "baby" from some invisible friend) saying to aforementioned invisible friend, "Stop! Be gentle! Babies are breakable! Be careful of her eyes!!!"

i was waiting for this to happen, yet it still took me by surprise:

when dd (3 wks) was crying, ds (2.5 yrs) started yelling, "QUIET! BABY! QUIET!!!!!"

so i tried to explain that yelling at babies doesn't work (advice i should be taking to heart myself when i hear my voice getting louder and louder with him!) and we made up a new song called "shhh shhh baby."

and ds has just discovered baby's eyes. OY!

Laughing so hard!! I think I should also change Sofie's name to "don'ttouchthebbaysheissleeping". Agad! What a life. At least I know that Sofie loves her sister.
