Background... my parents bought the house I live in. I will eventually buy it from them or they will keep it as an investment property.
They are TOTALLY against recycling building materials. There is a ReNew store around the corner with <5 year old appliances and recycled paint and inexpensive but nice recycled hardwood flooring... I brought it up and my mother just nixed it in a matter of seconds. I can appreciate that they feel like new things are better, or maybe that using used things is below them somehow?? Either way, if I had a million dollars, I would still opt for the greener recycled building materials...
So how can I open them up to that option??
